I live in the Houston Metroplex and like good company, good food, good music, and having a lot of fun. When I’m not spending time with my cat or boyfriend, I take pictures with my Nikon D80, create Jewelry, or exercise, or work on a new recipe.
Because I am creating a lifelong approach to eating, I work to create great tasting recipes that are low-cal (300 calories or less) and have a balanced approach to nutrition. I believe that you don’t have to limit food groups or nutrients groups, but that you have to meet your calorie requirements for the day.
Hi Paula,
I noticed Leigh Peele’s online books “Fat loss troubleshooter” and “Metabolism Repair.” Do you recommend? I’ve been a Weight Watchers lifetime member but I’m getting older and this plan doesn’t seem to work as well. Not sure if it’s me, the diet, me, age or?? Sigh.
By the way, you recipes look very good. I’m planning to try a couple this week.
Thank you,
Nancy, from Houston
Nancy:
I recommend Both of Leigh’s Books. Leigh is very knowledgeable and helpful to boot. She’s gotten me to where I am both weightwise and headwise in relation with food. I’ll be postings more about this later today (after Edaurdo Prep is complete) on my exercise blog (http://spacecitypaula.wordpress.com).
Chances you probably need to read troubleshoot first. It may be that you need to change things up, your diet is a little off, or you just need a dieting break. Metabolic Repair is for those folks who have had extreme problems with dieting/not resting enough.
Paula,
Hey, thanks for the quick response given Eduardo. I’ll check our your blog. Thanks & I wish you continued success in your journey! Be safe through the storm.
